Thesaurosus is a boss found in the Mines, sporting an impressive 10,000 health and dealing hefty damage with each attack. Similar to the Demon Wall and Super Sapper, he has 1 unique peg and 1 related peg - fire, and gold respectively.
Behavior[]
Thesaurosus will remain stationary throughout the fight, but will pull the player towards him when doing his breath attack (which also applies great pull force to a board exit). When the player is pulled close enough, he will charge and then execute a fire breath attack, dealing 3 damage in a burst of 4 attacks. For a total of 12 damage. After executing the fire attack, he will do a claw attack that deals 20 damage and pushes the player back to their starting position.
The above processes will repeat for the duration of the fight.
Strategies[]
- Intentional Oboe is particularly effective against this boss as multi-hit attacks are affected more greatly by the reduction of damage, which is based per hit.
- Concentrication is especially useful in this fight, as it can pierce through the mound of pegs to hit refreshes and criticals that are buried deep within.
- Magnet based orbs and relics such as Electorbmagnet and Electropegnet do quite well. The layout of the board leads to orbs often being forced to the side of the pegboard, meaning any form of magnetism magnet allows orbs to be pulled back to the center.
- Any gold relics that boost damage, such as Peglinero's Pendant, can help greatly early on due to the entire board being made of coin pegs.
- Inflicting Spinfection and gathering Ballwark can help deal damage and improve survivability respectively.
- Inflicting Blind allows you to avoid taking the 15 damage Claw Attack. Note, however, that this does not affect the Fire Breath.

Trivia[]
- The Qaballistic Ruins have a higher health pool (totally at 16,000), but Thesaurosus' board is much harder to gain damage on.
- Instead of being a pun on "thesaurus", his name has been confirmed by Dylan that it is based on the Latin word for "Treasurer".
