The Super Sapper (more commonly known as Fat Peglin) is a boss that appears in the Mines, and was revealed in the 1.0 roadmap.
The boss features a unique board layout reminiscent of a game of minesweeper, with a square blocking each peg from view. These blocks will not refresh with the board once destroyed.
The boss also will cause refresh the board with more Rigged Bombs than it originally had, making it hard to reliably damage the boss whilst staying alive.
Attacks[]
The Super Sapper will not move from its position at the far end of the stage.
It will fire a single projectile every turn, dealing low initial damage. Every time the boss is hit by a Rigged Bomb, it will gain an additional stack of increased damage.
Additionally, Sapper and Flying Sapper enemies will spawn throughout the fight and attempt to make their way towards Peglin.
Strategies[]
- Be aware that the Supper Sapper takes reduced damage from bombs. While still useful to deal with the various Sapper minions, you will have better results using high damage orbs against it.
- There are various rigged bombs hidden in the board. Having a healing relic or orb (such as Nosforbatu) can help offset the damage they cause.
- The Shock Orbsorber can be very useful, as at level three it takes 2 less damage from Rigged Bombs.
- High single target damage can deal good damage as long as you take out the front enemy’s with bombs or other methods first. Additionally, piercing can negate this problem. If you have trouble getting these, make you first shot as good as you can as it will likely be your only free one.
- Infernal Ingot is especially useful as there is lots of health to leech off of, but could cause your demise by a Sapper or Flying Sapper.
