The Balladin is a class introduced in v0.9.03 of Peglin. They can be unlocked by ending a battle with 100 Ballwark as the Peglin and start with the unique Balladroit relic.
Balladin centers on high power and high defense, with Orbs and relics that increase Muscircle or add Ballwark.
Strategy[]
NOTE: The following assumes you are starting with the Balladroit relic in a normal run and not a custom loadout.
- Orbs that add Muscircle and Ballwark while in flight, such as Renewed Vigorb and Protectorb are better options than those that add their buff when fired, as they will also add the other buff for every instance of the first being added.
- It is possible to use a much riskier self-damage strategy as the Balladin, assuming you have either sufficient Ballwark generation and/or healing in the form of Popping Corn.
- Orbust adds both Muscircle and Ballwark when fired, effectively enabling it to add both additional Muscircle and Ballwark for Balladin.
- Balladin does not favour Critical Pegs. If offered, taking the Unpretentious Pendant is a big power spike - especially at Cruciball 3.
- Spiral Slayer gives both Muscircle and Ballwark at the start of battles, making it an effective relic to choose if offered at the start of the game.
- If you have good Muscircle or Ballwark generation, Training Weight and Essential Oil should be considered as they will increase the production of their respective buff.
- Mask of Joy serves the same purpose, but for both Muscircle and Ballwark.
- Orbs that gain power from Ballwark such as Irresponsiball and Best Orbfence are good options for Muscircle builds, since they can use the additional Ballwark to be made even stronger.
- A build made around Shield Pegs can be amazingly effective as Balladin, especially if combined with the relics Ballpeen Hammer and/or Fiery Furnace.
- Brassicaceae Knuckles can form the basis for an effective Refresh Peg build with Balladin. Adding to it with Orbs and relics like Refreshircle and Leaf The Rest For Later can make this a potent strategy.
